HARM is a Brisbane-based operation offering insurance solutions and risk management services designed to enable your business to take the risks that separate it from your competition.
Based in Brisbane, Australia, HARM was established in July 2025 from the vision of Co-Founders and Directors, Dwight Hellings and Hayden Austin, to provide Insurance and Risk Management Services with a focus on advocacy, nuance, and genuine alignment with our clients' businesses.
With almost 20 years of combined experience in the Insurance Industry, HARM leverages insights from both Insurance Broking and Underwriting, as well as expertise from a network of partners in the legal, cyber, corporate advisory, and financial planning spaces to empower our clients to succeed.
This extends not just to what your business offers and where its risks may lie, but striving to understand the people, motivations, values, risk tolerances, and end-goals that are the drivers for your business.
In addition to the above we can assist on all aspects of General Insurance, and always value the opportunity to work with the right business.

Specialisations
HARM brings sector-specific knowledge to every engagement - understanding the unique risk landscape of your industry before we even start.
Why sector expertise matters
A technology startup faces fundamentally different risk exposures than a construction firm. Generic coverage misses the gaps that matter most to your business.
Sector expertise means we understand your contractual obligations, regulatory environment, and the scenarios that keep you up at night - without needing it explained.
When we present your risk to insurers, our deep understanding of your business translates to more competitive terms and appropriate coverage.

As a part of our service offering to healthcare and adjacent sectors, HARM can assist your business with establishing Abuse or Molestation Liability Insurance.
Who Needs Abuse Liability Insurance?
Abuse Liability Insurance is commonly held by businesses in the community, healthcare, and education spaces, amongst others, who work with vulnerable groups such as children, the disabled, or the elderly.
Service providers are experiencing changing conditions such as increased regulatory requirements and limited insurer participation, leading to both greater needs, and greater difficulty, in obtaining cover.
At HARM, we maintain relationships with the insurers still active in this space and understand the specific underwriting requirements and risk management expectations that can help secure coverage at competitive rates.
Coverage for the business for defence costs, damages, and other expenses arising from alleged and actual cases of abuse. Defence costs are extended to the accused individual until the point they are deemed to be a perpetrator, at which point coverage is revoked.
By providing a legally accountable entity (the insured and insurer), victims are granted an important opportunity for redress, with the policy coverage allowing for payments of damages and victim support services for those impacted.
Policy holders gain access to valuable resources and training allowing them to proactively mitigate instances of abuse within their own communities, and take vital steps towards prevention.
In support of communities across Australia, we have pledged to donate 10% of our earnings from each Abuse/Molestation Liability policy to Bravehearts - a leading Australian organisation providing prevention, support, and advocacy to those impacted, as well as crucial efforts to prevent occurrences in our communities.
Learn about Bravehearts →Outside of insurance, we can advise on alternative methods of managing, avoiding or ceding risk. We understand that generic insurance solutions are not a one-size-fits-all method of protecting businesses. We take into consideration your experience, maturity level of your business, financial position, goals, and risk tolerance to advise around the most suitable approach for your business.
Alternative risk management structures can provide more capital and tax-efficient answers for businesses, or aid where the traditional insurance market cannot provide the support needed.
Ensuring the correct governance and frameworks are in place for your business to be compliant and resilient, such as cyber and privacy policies, charters for AI uptake, business continuity planning, and more.
Risk management programs to assist in the optimal day-to-day operations of your business from a risk standpoint, or risk considerations around key decision making.
In addition to our specialisations, HARM can assist with all aspects of General Insurance and always values the opportunity to work with the right business.

What We Stand For
We believe the strength of our work as brokers both feeds off and serves community. While we have a relentless focus on generating value for our clients, it is fundamentally important that we consider how our conduct and offering improves our community of clients, colleagues, families, and peers. By keeping our impact on others at the forefront of what we do, we strive to establish and build upon a sense of community that we believe, in the long-term, is the tide that lifts all boats.
We differentiate ourselves by working with clients not on the basis of the 'fear factor' but by enabling them to take on the risks they need in order for their business to succeed. It is only by embracing HARM that businesses can rise above their competition. Importantly, we strive to meaningfully differentiate ourselves and our clients' experience from the wider broking market - something that is often spoken of but rarely delivered.
We aspire to be both advocates for our clients in all senses of the word, as well as advocated for. This aspiration is the foundational driver of our service offering. Advocacy to us means a genuine desire to provide return on investment to our clients, not only in their risk management programs, but in our relationships and time spent with our engagement. This principle extends beyond relationships with our clients to our own team, our insurer partners, and our broader professional network.
